When Ghosts Come Home by Wiley Cash

Writer's picture: Kim CatronKim Catron

If you haven't read Wiley Cash before, start now. He won't disappoint. Set in North Carolina in the 80s, Cash does a great job of capturing the big issues of the time in all of their tumultousness- bigotry, racism, the Good ol'Boys...and yet, he graciously manages to also capture the poignant relationships of husband and wife, father and daughter.

As with most of his novels, Cash keeps you turning pages with enough hint of mystery that you find yourself saying "just one more chapter" before you turn off the light and call it a night.

Wiley Cash is a writer who will be around for years to come-- keep the support going and buy his book. If you want to purchase a signed copy, check out his website wileycash.com... there may be a few bookstores out there with a few remaining ones left!
