The retreat by Mark Edwards

I've been to Wales before, and look forward to when I can go back. I think of the green rollling hills and the pastoral landscape. Author Mark Edwards was thinking something a little differently, a little more sinister when he wrote The Retreat. A writer's retreat set in picturesque Wales where children seem to go missing- perfect for a horror writer looking for his next bestseller. Lucas needs to finish his book, but Julia's daughter is gone and there's a dark element in the town of Beddmar and stories of something that demands to be to be satiated every 35 years.
